Fire Blind™ Systems

 

The Fireblind™ Systems FBS9 Fire Suppression System is designed to operate with Fireblind™ Systems Fire & Smoke Curtains. This new and innovative technology is an aerosol based unit that extinguishes/or suppresses fire in less than a couple of seconds without water.

 

The FBS9 unit is activated via the Fireblind™ Systems control panel supplied, and is ideal for use in residential/domestic properties, commercial and industrial applications. The unit requires no large storage tanks, no piping, no water and maintenance is minimal. The FBS9 unit can be installed in a location that is aesthetically acceptable to the client. Importantly, the small amount of residue following activation can be easily cleaned away, either by a cloth or vacuum. The FBS9 activation substantially reducing damage to internal fixings, furniture and property .

 

The operational procedure for the Fireblind™ Systems Fire & Smoke and FBS9 Fire Suppression System is as follows:

 

The control panel is activated by the heat/smoke sensor, the curtain begins to deploy and then stops at a user selectable height to allow pedestrian escape. Upon receipt of another signal from the control panel, again user selectable, the curtain will descend to its fully closed position thus creating a compartment zone. The FBS9 is now activated by a signal from the control panel extinguishing/or suppressing the fire within the compartment area. The control panel has a battery back-up in the event of mains power failure. When the control panel ceases to receive a signal from the smoke/heat sensor the curtain will automatically return to its dormant position.
